| Citizen
Advocacy is a global program with offices throughout Australia.
Citizen Advocacy Inner East has been assisting
members of our local community since 1981 in the metropolitan
areas of Boroondara, Whitehorse, Manningham and Monash. We are
funded by the Federal
Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs .
The office has a small number
of professional staff who are guided by a voluntary board of management.
The role of the coordinators is to identify people with an intellectual
disability who are most in need of advocacy such as those experiencing
social isolation or may be at risk of neglect or abuse.
